Mrs. Ameri’s 3rd graders from Washington had a special reader in their class! Mrs. Shege came to read her book about her life as an ESL student and not knowing English in first grade. She also shared in her story about escaping the war from Albania in 2001.

April is Autism Acceptance Month & today at Washington we celebrated our friends with Autism! 🌈









Mr. Bauer, Mr. Flannery and Mrs. Molina's classes from Washington celebrated their iReady March Mathness victory win with a pizza party celebration!










Today, Mrs. Bellenger’s kindergartners from Washington learned all about what a solar eclipse is by making a fun craft & they even got to watch the eclipse happen live in their classroom on their Smart Board!






Today students in Mrs. O’Grady’s class from Washington reflected on how shadows are made when light is blocked and connect this to the really BIG shadow the moon makes during a solar eclipse.

Washington- Did you know March is Music In Our Schools Month? This week in Mr. Burzynski’s music class, 2nd graders composed their own rhythms based on some of their favorite bakery items. Then they practiced performing their rhythms on different types of drums!






Washington has had two fun filled days in honor of #readacrossamericaweek! We’ve already had Buddy Readers amongst classes. We also had special guest readers like LMS Peers, members of our community, staff family members, & KHS girl basketball players to name a few! Thank you to Ms. Bird for coordinating a special literacy week!
