Students in Mr. Flannery and Mrs. Walsh classes from Washington participated in a curriculum-based instructional outing to the town hall where they had the opportunity to meet Mayor Doyle and learn more about local government and community leadership.

Washington School Preschool students in Mrs. Smyth and Ms. Martinez’s class have been busy following recipes for their Grocery Store study!
The students graphed which recipe they wanted to make, and with the help of a classroom Mom, they made Cream Cheese and Strawberry Snacks!
Yum, yum, yummy! The students practiced graphing, measuring, fine motor skills and had many conversations about nutrition!
Ms. Bird’s 3rd grade KEEP students from Washington learned about pulleys and chairlifts.
Students were challenged to build a chairlift on a pulley system that would safely bring a figurine to the top of the “mountain.”
All students were able to complete the challenge with their own unique design!
