The Kearny School District honors Presidents’ Day as we reflect on the leadership, vision, and service that have shaped our nation. As Theodore Roosevelt once said, “It is true of the Nation, as of the individual, that the greatest doer must also be a great dreamer.” In our schools, we see the leaders of tomorrow. May we continue to inspire our students to dream boldly and lead with courage and integrity.

Washington School Newscasters Sarai and Lyan made history as our very first students to head out into the community and spotlight a local business! They had the pleasure of visiting Big Stash’s Subhouse in Kearny and meeting Frank, the owner. Frank has done an amazing job keeping the Big Stash’s name alive while adding his own special touch to the business. He generously took the time to teach our students the art of sandwich making and shared his story with them. Thank you, Frank and Big Stash’s Subhouse, for the warm hospitality and for being the very first feature on our Kids in the Hall Newscast! @bigstashs Check out the full video on our YouTube: https://youtu.be/iDW14VOGgHE?si=ic5CcZUG_xDGdoSb
