Yesterday we had a very special guest at Washington School - Ron Italiano, the author of "The Special Adventures of Choppy Wow Wow"! Ron is the father of two children with autism and drew on his experiences to create this heartwarming tale of a helper dog and a young boy who form a unique connection to start their life adventure. Ron’s mission is to write and publish inclusive content representing the special needs community for the purpose of education and awareness. Ron put on 4 assemblies and at each one, one lucky student won a signed copy of his book for their class. Ron also donated a copy of his book to our Washington School library. Our students and staff truly enjoyed his time here and we hope to have him back next year!
