The students participated in a fact-finding scavenger hunt, had the chance to read many of the cool books the Library has to offer, and were given the chance to sign up for their very own Library Card!”

We are closing out our Gratitude Week series by celebrating the substitute teachers who step in with flexibility, care, and confidence whenever our classrooms need them. Depicted here are just a few of the many subs who support our students and keep learning moving forward each day.

As part of our Gratitude Week celebration, today we are celebrating the district bus drivers who start and end each school day with a smile. No matter the weather or the route, they greet our students with patience, kindness, and steady care.

Schuyler School - Special thanks to our PTA for a fun Fall Dance!

In every corner of our district, there are people who show up with heart, dedication, and quiet strength — often without the spotlight they deserve. This week, we are taking a moment to celebrate them.

We are starting with our incredible security team. They greet the earliest arrivals, watch over our buildings long after the last dismissal, and bring comfort simply by being there. Their steady presence keeps our schools safe and allows our community to thrive.

Schuyler School - Our Junior Peers led a food drive to help local families. We collected 13 boxes full of cans, pasta, and other perishable items along with 20 boxes of cereal! Special thanks to all who donated!

Schuyler School - As part of the PreK Percussion Unit, we had our 5th and 6th grade band members give a percussion demo lesson to our PreK students! Then the PreK students got to play the instruments too!

Schuyler School - To wrap up our PreK unit on Percussion, we had an amazing visit from the Kearny High School Percussion Ensemble.

Schuyler School- Congratulations to our 4th grade classes for achieving the best attendance in October! 👏

They celebrated with a fun Color War Dress Down Day — Mrs. Cecere’s Blue Team, Mrs. Sofield’s Black Team, and Mr. Silpoch’s Red Team. They all brought their A-game!

Schuyler School - During the month of October, Mrs. Buggle's 5th grade science students engaged in hands-on investigtions to explore key concepts in physical science. Students examined chemical changes by transforming an ordinary egg into a "bouncy" one and applied principles of force and motion by designing and testing catapults to determine which team could launch candy corn the greatest distance.

Schuyler School - Congratulations to our iReady Math winners! These students had the most lessons passed in each class for the month of October. We also celebrated the highest in each grade level and our grand champ with the highest number of lessons passed in the whole school!
