
Schuyler School - Today, Mrs. Ferreira's PreK class had a beach day! They sat in pools and tubes on their classroom beach, wore summer clothes and played bingo! They are ready for summer!!







Schuyler School - Students in Mrs. Esparra’s class earned a Disney themed virtual class trip for their amazing iready Reading growth this year! Students arrived ready for “take off” and participated in virtual rides and shows. Then students participated in Disney themed activities that included STEM and crafts. The students enjoyed their magic filled day!

Schuyler School - Congratulations to our 5th grade students who graduated from L.E.A.D. Special thanks to the Kearny Police Department for such a great program!









Schuyler School - Sixth grade KEEP students finished their carnival games unit by having Pre-K friends test them out. They did a great job!








Schuyler School - Fourth grade KEEP students did an amazing job creating mini golf courses. They designed such creative and fun obstacles!





Schuyler School - Congratulations to the winners of the Optimist Club 6th Grade Spelling Bee. Schuyler School won first, second, and third place!

Schuyler School - As part of their letter writing unit the students in grade two have written letters to family and friends and even walked to the mailbox to personally mail them themselves! Additionally, they have written to teachers, classmates, and future second graders. A highlight of this unit has been writing to a pen pal from another second grade class at Roosevelt School. The pen pals have exchanged multiple letters back and forth, and they finally got to meet at Bell Park for a fun morning!




Schuyler School - The students in grade two had a great time digging for fossils! They have been learning about the world's animal biodiversity. As they concluded the unit, students discussed animal life cycles and endangered or extinct animals, including dinosaurs and fossils. They loved the hands-on experience of digging for dinosaur fossils and pretending to be paleontologists!










Schuyler School - Today Ms. Twesten's prek-3 class visited Ms. Deray’s pre-k 4 class to learn what their classes will be like next year. Students listened to the story All Are Welcome and made buddy bracelets with a pre-k 4 peer.

Schuyler School - Congratulations to the winners of our iReady contest for May. These students had the highest number of passed lessons in each class for the month. We also celebrated the students with the highest number of passed lessons in the grade level and then the grand champ of the school!

Schuyler School - Congratulations to our Achieve3000 winners for May! These students had the highest increase in lexile levels for each grade level for the month of May!


Schuyler School - Ms. Rocha's first grade class learned about the life cycle of a butterfly. This week they were able to release their butterflies!
