Schuyler School - Congratulations to the winners of our iReady Reading contest for March. These students had the most lessons passed for the month in each class. We also celebrated the students who had the most lesson passed in the grade level and the grand champ who had the most lessons passed in the whole school!

Schuyler School - In the ESL/Science class, our Grade 4 ESL students learned that high-pitched sounds come from faster vibrations, while low-pitched sounds come from slower ones. They then used ropes to create waves, demonstrating how faster movements produced a higher pitch and slower movements produced a lower pitch. This activity helped them connect the science of sound to real-world motion and see how pitch relates to wave behavior.

Our little learners had a wonderful time getting creative while dying and decorating eggs today. From bright colors to unique designs, each egg was as special as the students who made them! We love celebrating the season of spring with hands-on fun! 🌷✨

Schuyler School - There is no better way to celebrate "Music in our schools month" than with our 2nd Annual Vocal Extravaganza at the Kearny High School. Choir members from Roosevelt, Schuyler, Washington, Garfield, Franklin schools and the K-Birds were rocking the morning with vocal warm ups, AYV repertoire and choreography, performance etiquette discussions and singing other musical selections. Thank you to our district supervisor Mrs. Astrella, our school principal Mrs. Iacono, our supervisor of transportation Mr. Elsmore, our secretaries, teachers and parents for all their support in organizing this event.

Schuyler School - Our second grade students recently wrapped up an exciting hands-on project all about ecosystems! Each student created a detailed shoebox habitat, bringing environments like forests, oceans, deserts, and rainforests to life. Using creativity and what they’ve learned in class, students included plants, animals, and important features that make each ecosystem unique. This project was a fun and engaging way for students to show their understanding of how living things interact with their environment—great job, second graders!
