Schuyler School - Mrs. Esparra’s third graders kicked off a brand-new Thanksgiving tradition this year by creating their very own Thanksgiving Spoons of Thanks! Each student decorated a wooden spoon and paired it with a special gratitude card explaining how families can use the spoon at their holiday table. The tradition is simple but meaningful: whoever holds the spoon shares something they are thankful for before passing it along 🧡🤎

Schuyler School - After learning how magnets attract and repel, Mrs. Esparra’s third graders used their science skills (and their background knowledge of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade) to design their own balloon routes. Students created a simple blueprint, then used magnetic attraction between a metal piece on their balloon and a magnetic wand to guide it through the parade path. A fun hands-on way to bring science, engineering, and Thanksgiving magic together! 🎈🧲

The students participated in a fact-finding scavenger hunt, had the chance to read many of the cool books the Library has to offer, and were given the chance to sign up for their very own Library Card!”
