Garfield School: The annual 6th Grade Volleyball Tournament was a battle of skill, teamwork, and determination as homerooms faced off in an electrifying competition. Every serve, spike, and dive kept the crowd on edge, but in the end, it was Mrs. Gerbasio’s homeroom that emerged victorious! With fierce rallies and unstoppable energy, they claimed the championship title in an intense showdown. Congratulations to all the players for their incredible effort and sportsmanship! 🎉🏐

Garfield School: Mrs. Signa's 5th grade students are piloting a new Language Arts program called Amplify. They celebrated the end of their first unit on the Maya, Aztec, and Inca civilizations by creating their own Aztec Sun Stones. They used glyphs, symbols, and the sun as their center to create a unique stone representing themselves. The 5th graders had fun creating these before starting their next unit on Poetry!

Guests included members of Kearny Fire Department, Kearny Police Officers, Kearny Board of Education Staff and Administrators, Kearny Public Librarians, Retired Kearny Educators, Kearny Mayor, Kearny Town Council Members, Hudson County Prosecutor, and more!
