Franklin School welcomed the Hudson County Improvement Authority and their Wiggle E. Worms presentation for our kindergarten, first and second grade classes. Our students were ready to dig in and worm their way into the fascinating world of these squiggly creatures!

Franklin School’s Student Council visited the Spruce Terrace Senior Center to spread some love and kindness for Valentine’s Day! The students made Valentine Heart crafts with them. They also hosted a fun Bingo game, and everyone shared many laughs and smiles together. They also delivered letters that some Franklin students made. We are looking forward to our next visit soon to see our new friends again!

Franklin School: Ms. Padinha’s classes were curators in a museum. They made exhibits representing the spheres in Science class.
🚨 Thursday, February 6th: Due to weather conditions, all Kearny schools will be closed today.
Franklin School: The 5th grade students in Mrs. Kyak’s KEEP classes explored the concept of tiny houses and the reasons people choose to live in them. As part of their learning experience, they designed their own tiny house floor plans. Through this activity, students applied creativity, problem-solving, and spatial planning skills while gaining insight into minimalist living and efficient home design.
📣 Due to the anticipated weather conditions, the Kearny School District will follow a delayed opening schedule tomorrow, Thursday, February 6.
🔔 PreK through grade six will arrive at 10:00am and grades seven through twelve will arrive at 9:50 am.
⚠️ There will be no Right at School morning care.
⚠️ We will re-evaluate the weather conditions in the morning and communicate any necessary information. Thank you.

The 6th grade LLD students joined KHS Success classes for a hands-on Life Skills event, learning essential tasks like doing laundry and making a quick meal. Huge thanks to our amazing teachers and aides for making this experience so meaningful!
