Sensory fun with pumpkins at Franklin School! Ms. Klein’s class had some sensory fun today with our OT, Ms. Elisa! The students loved scooping out their pumpkin and exploring the slimy, squishy seeds. It was a hands-on activity full of smiles, giggles, and great sensory learning! 🎃✨

Franklin School: Mrs. Cowley’s Pre-K 4 Class ended the First Six Weeks of School Study with some special visitors. Nurse Gaby and Nurse Erin came to the classroom to show the class what a school nurse uses when a student isn’t feeling well. Thank you Nurse Erin and Nurse Gaby for making sure Franklin Students are well taken care of. 💚

Franklin School celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a vibrant showcase of music, dance, and art. Thank you to our generous supporters: Kearny ShopRite, Legacy Dance Company, and Bubble Laundromat (Christina Piedra) for helping make this celebration truly memorable. We are also grateful to Jorge Ponce and Elizabeth Santacruz for coordinating talented dancers from Afovic USA Filial New Jersey and Agrupación Folklórica Los Amigos de New Jersey, and to the Peruvian American Cultural Association at Rutgers Newark for bringing the alpaca and cuy mascots to life.

At Franklin School, Ms. Klein’s MD class brewed up some Halloween magic! With the help of our speech therapist, Ms. Camila, students worked together to make a Halloween potion that bubbled and fizzed in all kinds of spooky ways.

Franklin School:

Franklin School: Pre-K Architects in Action!
The Pre-K students in Ms. Bauer’s class are learning all about architects! We were so lucky to meet with a real architect, Christian, and ask him some great questions. We learned that Christian builds hospitals, and his biggest project was an amazing 1 million square feet!
The children were so inspired — when Christian asked who wants to be an architect when they grow up, every hand shot up!

Franklin School students from Ms. De Matos's and Mrs. Russo's classes had a great time experimenting with a chemical reaction using cola and Mentos, watching in excitement as the two substances created an explosive eruption!

Franklin School: Our Falcons enjoyed dressing up for RESPECT WEEK!

Franklin School: 💗 This October, our Junior Peers came together to spread awareness for Breast Cancer with the guidance of Mrs. Sickinger, who set up this meaningful activity to remind us of the importance of awareness, prevention, and support. Wearing pink ribbons 🎀 as symbols of hope, courage, and unity, we also honor the memory of Patty Sickinger, sister of Jimmy Sickinger, who fought an honorable fight with breast cancer. We remember those we’ve lost, stand with those still fighting, celebrate survivors, and remind everyone of the importance of early detection and getting checked—because awareness can save lives. 💗

From escaping Mr. McGregor 🥕, to leaping for grapes 🍇, balancing buckets 🪣, and racing with golden eggs 🥚—our classroom was full of laughter, teamwork, and lessons learned.
