As part of our Gratitude Week celebration, today we are celebrating the district bus drivers who start and end each school day with a smile. No matter the weather or the route, they greet our students with patience, kindness, and steady care.

Thank you to our transportation team for every safe ride and every warm welcome. We are grateful for all you do. 💛🚌

In every corner of our district, there are people who show up with heart, dedication, and quiet strength — often without the spotlight they deserve. This week, we are taking a moment to celebrate them.

We are starting with our incredible security team. They greet the earliest arrivals, watch over our buildings long after the last dismissal, and bring comfort simply by being there. Their steady presence keeps our schools safe and allows our community to thrive.

Ms. Abrams and Ms. Klein’s class at Franklin had a great time exploring science with our Glitter Germs experiment! Students followed directions, used their AAC devices to read and identify important vocabulary, and had so much fun learning how germs spread. A fantastic hands-on learning day!

Franklin School: Students in Mrs. Grover's class turned their classroom floor into a life-size coordinate plane ! They practiced plotting ordered pairs by moving across the grid, “walking the x” and then “climbing the y, ”to find and stand on their correct point. making learning integers hands-on and fun. #ItsGoodToBeaFalcon

Franklin School: Our Junior Peers Falcons showed the true meaning of gratitude and giving. 💛
With big smiles, bigger hearts, and lots of teamwork, our students collected an incredible amount of food for our Thanksgiving Drive.

These donations will go directly to families in need , because when Falcons work together, no one is left behind.
We are so proud of our leaders for stepping up and spreading kindness throughout our community.

Franklin School ABA and PSD students participated in their 3rd Annual Mock Trick-or-Treat event! This special activity provides wonderful opportunities for students to practice their communication and socialization skills in a fun, engaging way.

We were thrilled to have our Junior peers join us again this year—promoting inclusivity, friendship, and community spirit. 💬🤝

At Franklin School, students in Ms. Abrams’ MD class put their science skills to work with a festive pumpkin volcano experiment! 🎃 We’re grateful to the Franklin PTA for providing the pumpkins and helping bring science to life in our classroom!

Sensory fun with pumpkins at Franklin School! Ms. Klein’s class had some sensory fun today with our OT, Ms. Elisa! The students loved scooping out their pumpkin and exploring the slimy, squishy seeds. It was a hands-on activity full of smiles, giggles, and great sensory learning! 🎃✨

Franklin School: Mrs. Cowley’s Pre-K 4 Class ended the First Six Weeks of School Study with some special visitors. Nurse Gaby and Nurse Erin came to the classroom to show the class what a school nurse uses when a student isn’t feeling well. Thank you Nurse Erin and Nurse Gaby for making sure Franklin Students are well taken care of. 💚

Franklin School celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a vibrant showcase of music, dance, and art. Thank you to our generous supporters: Kearny ShopRite, Legacy Dance Company, and Bubble Laundromat (Christina Piedra) for helping make this celebration truly memorable. We are also grateful to Jorge Ponce and Elizabeth Santacruz for coordinating talented dancers from Afovic USA Filial New Jersey and Agrupación Folklórica Los Amigos de New Jersey, and to the Peruvian American Cultural Association at Rutgers Newark for bringing the alpaca and cuy mascots to life.

At Franklin School, Ms. Klein’s MD class brewed up some Halloween magic! With the help of our speech therapist, Ms. Camila, students worked together to make a Halloween potion that bubbled and fizzed in all kinds of spooky ways.
