Kearny High School celebrated 71 outstanding students at the 41st annual Academic Excellence Awards ceremony. Senior William Mullins represented the talented group as their speaker. Fernando Coelho, a distinguished alum from the Class of 2000, served as the honored guest speaker. The event, organized by Mrs. Dorian Fasciano, concluded with a reception in the atrium, catered by the Culinary Arts department, celebrating the students' achievements with their families.










šØThe District Art Show winners were featured at the Kearny Public Library on May 22, in which the Optimist Club generously awarded our young artists with gift certificates! Special thanks to Mr. Neto for transporting and setting up the show.
Dr. Boyd of the Optimist Club encourages our KHS seniors to apply for the $500 academic scholarship. The deadline has been extended to June 7.

On Saturday morning, May 18th, our ESL/Multilingual families joined us at KHS for a fun-filled, exciting Field Day Event. Parents and students came together as a community to enjoy a variety of activities and games and won prizes. On Saturday, May 11, the Kearny Schools Multicultural Committee dove into the rhythmic heartbeat of Brazil through a captivating journey through the vibrant tapestry of Brazilian culture. The stage came alive with the pulsating beats of samba, the graceful movements of African dancers, and the electrifying energy of capoeira. From the infectious rhythms of percussionists to the mesmerizing agility of capoeiristas, the Brazilian Cultural Presentation was a celebration of diversity and unity. Joined by enthusiastic students and parents, participants embraced the spirit of Brazil, learning samba moves, and capturing unforgettable moments in photo ops.
