Mrs. Sansone and Ms. Hansenās senior English classes gathered in a circle on the stage in the KHS auditorium for one final story time on their last full day of high school. Having begun their educational journeys sitting together in a circle for story time as Kindergartners, they shared a true full circle moment one last time before graduation. Mrs. Sansone read the inspirational classic Oh, the Places Youāll Go! by Dr. Seuss, reminding students that they have the strength, courage and determination to move mountains as they begin their next chapter.

Students in the Franklin School MD program enjoyed a visit to LifeTown, a fully inclusive and accessible center designed to provide hands-on learning experiences. From learning about healthy eating habits and the importance of good oral hygiene to practical life skills such as a trip to Shop Rite, loading the dryer and riding bikes around town, the visit provided a safe space for students to learn and grow in a fun and supportive environment.

Lincoln Middle School students were recognized as honorees at the 2026 "History Happened Here" Expo at Rutgers University, where they showcased award-winning multimedia projects created through their "Revolutionary Roots" initiative.
Stepping into the roles of researchers, writers, podcasters, artists, and civic leaders, students explored Kearny's history through the RevolutionNJ and America 250 initiatives. The interdisciplinary project connected local stories to the broader American experience, earning statewide recognition for their creativity, scholarship, and community engagement.








Garfield School proudly donated 120 used eyeglasses and hearing aids to support Alexander Reis, KHS sophomore and Life Scout with Troup 305, with his Eagle Scout project. We are honored to support Alex's commitment to service and helping others in the community.

Students in Mrs. Curryās KEEP Class at Garfield School showed off their technological know-how at the schoolās STEM Fair.
Students in grades 3-6 collaborated to create inventions designed to engage, inspire, and make everyday life a little more efficient. From coding with Twister, to a sip counter, to a mood-tracking lullaby stuffie, Garfieldās young innovators demonstrated creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving at every turn. š”āØ

Due to the NJ Primary Election Day on June 2, 2026, all schools will operate on a single session schedule. Students in grades PreK-12 will be dismissed at 12:54pm.
