Students in Miss Dyl’s class from Washington enjoyed a Fun Fine Motor Friday! They worked on cutting and writing skills and practicing making the letter Aa with playdoh!

We have our first batch of Washington School Rock (Responsible On-time Committed Kids) Stars for this year! These students were entered into a raffle for their perfect attendance for the month of September and were the lucky recipients of these Rock Star tee shirts!

Hip hip hooray for Summer Reading! Great job to all the students from Washington who turned in their summer reading packets. They enjoyed treats, games, and fun literary activities as a reward. Thank you to Ms. Bird for organizing a fantastic event!

Washington School PTA hosted a Back to School Pizza Bash this past Friday! Thank you @washingtonschoolptakearny for hosting this fun event!








In Mrs. Parreiras’s 2nd grade ESL class from Washington they explored the question “why do we wear clothes?” This investigation lead us to learn vocabulary such as soft, hard, heavy and light. We culminated our learning with creating some hats to that would be soft and light on our heads while protecting us from the sun. #multilanguagelearners

This week Mrs. Peso's first graders from Washington enjoyed a BookBreak Author visit with Kevin Henkes. They listened to the story Chrysanthemum and learned about self-esteem, kindness, and acceptance. They concluded the visit imitating Kevin's character drawing style. 📖🏵🎨
