
Washington School 6th graders enjoyed their end of year trip to the Funplex!











Washington School’s Spring Concert day was a great success, with students in Band, Chorus, Orff Ensemble, and General Music taking the stage to show off the skills they’ve been working on in Ms. Chen’s and Mr. Burzynski’s classes throughout the semester!











On Monday, Washington School celebrated Ms. Von and Ms. G in recognition of Speech-Language Pathologist Day, observed on May 18th. Thank you, Ms. Von and Ms. G, for your dedication to helping our students grow in their speech and communication skills!

Washington School newscasters had an exciting opportunity to visit Mr. Miller’s broadcasting class at KHS! They explored various elements of broadcasting and even got some hands-on experience with production techniques. A fun and inspiring day for our future broadcasters!











Mrs. Rodriguez, Ms. Von, and Ms. Gabby’s kindergarteners from Washington are mastering motor skills, practicing communication, and building friendships—all while enjoying the sunshine on the playground! 🌞🛝





West Ham’s Anton Ferdinand visits Washington School to inspire the students and speak about a wide range of social issues such as diversity, teamwork, and resilience. Although the assembly was moved indoors because of rain, that didn’t ruin the day as our kids were able to do a skills session and even play against the West Ham legend in a 7 v 1 game!

We have our newest batch of Washington School Rock (Responsible On-time Committed Kids) Stars for the month of April! These students were entered into a raffle for their perfect attendance for the month of April and were the lucky recipients of these Rock Star tee shirts!


May is National Get Caught Reading Month and Washington School loves a reason to celebrate! We’ve been “catching” kids reading and Ms. Bird has been highlighting them on a special bulletin board outside the office. Keep reading and maybe you’ll be caught too!
