Schuyler School - The Grade 4 ESL students are learning about balanced and unbalanced forces in their ESL/Science class. The class had a tug-of-war game to experience how forces work.
Schuyler School students wore orange to show our support for National Bullying Prevention Month.
Schuyler School - Mrs. Czeizinger and Ms. Paris's social studies classes completed a 6th Grade Financial Literacy project where students researched a career they would like to pursue and presented their findings. Everyone did a fantastic job!

Schuyler School - In honor of Read for the Record, the Woman's Club of Arlington donated a book (With Lots of Love) to each of our kindergarten classes and our library. The kids loved the book! Thank you!

Schuyler School - In honor of the Really Excellent Decisions our students make, we celebrated RED day!
Schuyler School - As a homework assignment students in Ms. Avino's prek class were asked to collect outside different parts of a tree such as acorns, branches, leaves, etc. Students brought in their own ziploc bags of their findings and presented them to the class. We discussed how each item looked, felt and which part of the tree it came from. We had so much fun seeing all the different things students collected.
Schuyler School - The students in Mrs. Ferreira's class have learned all about apple trees and apple picking as part of our Tree Study. In our classroom, Ferreira Farms is up and running! Students are able to pick the apples and bring them to the market to ring them up and buy other fall treats. We even learned the steps to make an apple pie!
Schuyler School - Students celebrate the autumn season at Schuyler with these vibrant works of art created by Ms. Di Gangi's 3rd and 4th grade art classes.
Schuyler School - Ms. Avino's Prek class had their first Mystery Reader. Thank you so much to Kristie's mom and dad for coming to read 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' to the class. They even gave them their own butterflies to take home. They had so much fun listening to the story!

Schuyler School - Ms. Ferreira's PreK class took a walk outside to learn about trees. They had so much fun!
Schuyler School - Yesterday Ms. Avino's PreK class went outside to learn about the parts of the tree in correspondence with the question of the day for the tree study. We discussed the different parts of a tree and had the chance to point / touch the different parts of a tree as well.
Schuyler School - Mrs. O’Malley’s third grade class is studying plant life cycles, seeds and seed dispersal in their science class. Today they made “helicopter seeds” and tested them out. The kids also came up with ideas on how to improve the way their helicopter seeds could fly.
Schuyler School is still celebrating Week of Respect with an amazing assembly. Dr. Mykee Fowlin is an actor, psychologist and storyteller. Through his acting and storytelling Dr. Fowling took the students on a journey of how to be accepting of others, respectful of each other and realize that you are not alone.
Schuyler School - Ms DeRay's PreK class made Gingerbread Play-doh and went on a hunt for the Gingerbread Man yesterday! It was an extra special Fun Friday
Schuyler School - Ms. Ferreira's PreK3 class read 'The Gingerbread Man' this week and then the students went on a hunt to find the gingerbread man in our school! They had so much fun!
