To coincide with Bob Marley’s 80th birthday, choir members from Schuyler and Roosevelt Schools sang a specially designed Bob Marley Medley in a massive singalong featuring the following Bob Marley classics: “One Love, “ “Jammin’,” “Three Little Birds, “ “Get Up Stand Up,” “Could You Be Loved,” and “Redemption Song" on Friday, February 7th at Schuyler School. The livestreamed singalong featured over 200,000 children from Young Voices UK and Young Voices USA along with hundreds of thousands of students participating around the world. (Big thanks to Ms. Bernal for organizing such a wonderful event!)

Schuyler School - Our 5th and 6th grade percussionists participated in our first annual district wide percussion masterclass this morning. Led by Mr. Pamaar and the Kearny High School drumline, our students had a chance to work together across multiple grades and buildings to practice and perform some more advanced music including our K.H.S. marching band selections. We can't wait to see them in the band!
