Schuyler School - Ms. DeRay's PreK class had a very special visitor this morning as our Mystery Reader! Zoe’s mom, Rosa Jimenez, read “It’s Okay to be Different” by Todd Parr. She shared that this story is special to their family as it helped Zoe understand the changes she experienced when moving from the Dominican Republic to the United States. Mrs. Jimenez also taught our students how to count to 10 in French and gave them spring goodie bags. It was great having her join us today! Thank you so much for volunteering!
Our district data teams recently came together to present mid-year benchmark assessment results. Through collegial discussions, our team members analyzed student growth, highlighted key learning trends, and developed instruction strategies to support skill mastery.

Schuyler School - Ms. DeRay's PreK class had very special visitors this morning as our Mystery Readers! Omari’s parents, Omar and Rossanna Lascelles, read “Every Little Thing”: a story adapted by Bob Marley’s daughter, Cedella Marley. This story is special to Omari’s family as it connects to their Caribbean roots (Dad’s family is from Barbados!). After the story, we watched a sing-along video of the song “Three Little Birds” and sang together! It was great having them join us today. Thank you so much for volunteering!
Schuyler School - Ms.DeRay's PreK class had a very special visitor this afternoon as our Mystery Reader! Derek’s mom, Vanessa Loayza, read the students a story in Spanish. She even taught them how to count as well as say their colors in Spanish! Our students were also so grateful for the special gift she gave: their own toy camera! It was great having her join us today! Thank you so much for volunteering!

Schuyler School - Ms. DeRay's class tie-dyed shirts this week to wear for Valentine’s Day! Everyone loved to see how their shirts turned out and were excited to wear them together today!
Schuyler School - The third grade KEEP students studied biomes and how climate change may affect animals and their habitats. They picked an animal and created features that would help their animal adapt to any changes in the environment. Some adaptations included adding fur, fins, scales or even spikes!
Schuyler School - Our Junior Peers helped our PreK students celebrate Valentine's Day with several activities!
