Garfield School: Students in third, fourth, and fifth grade visited the library to complete a STEM activity using engineering design process. The challenge was to build a roller coaster to guide the ball into the cup. Students worked together in collaborative groups. Each student had a different role such as Challenge Captain, Chief Architect, Materials Master, Testing Coodinator, and Rapid Reporter. During our showcase, students discussed ways to improve their designs.

Garfield School: Students in First Grade KEEP classes explored the Fairy Tale of The Gingerbread Man in their Fairy Tale Unit. Students listened to multiple variations of the story then designed and built structures to save the Gingerbread Man.
