Fifteen fourth grade KEEP students attended the The Hudson County Gifted & Talented Consortium Dream Flag Project. Students proudly shared their poems and their Dream Flags then participated in organized activities that promoted self expression and creativity.
Once a month students at Garfield School visit other classrooms to buddy read with flashlights. We call it Flashlight Friday! 🔦📚

Storytime + coding = magic! 🐰📚➡️🤖 Kindergarteners visited the library for Peter Rabbit Read Aloud with Ms. Curry, talked about the tricky problems Peter faced escaping Mr. McGregor’s garden, then PROGRAMMED robot mice to act out the escape! Sequencing, teamwork, and tons of giggles. 💡✨

Garfield School: Students in Mrs. Lonnay's ELA class wrapped up their IDR projects by creating and presenting infographics that highlighted the key elements of their novels. From characters and plot to themes and important details, students did a fantastic job showcasing their understanding in a creative and engaging way!

Grade 3 students from Sydney Pace's class at Garfield School participated in a lesson on the water cycle presented by the Veolia Company. Veolia visited all third grade classrooms in the district, providing students with an engaging activity about the water cycle.
Samantha was one of the only students in Garfield School to correctly guess this Emoji Story Title of the Week. She brought in the book from home and shared the story with her classmates. 📚
