KSD Educators Book Club met Dr. Shalaby, author of Troublemakers: A Lesson in Freedom from Young Children at School, for a candid discussion about her book. We appreciate her graciously speaking with us and thank instructional coach John Adamski for facilitating this experience.
The Kearny School District hosted “Fun, Frost, and Family” evenings at each elementary school. Students and their families engaged in literacy and social emotional learning, including read alouds, games, snacks, and giveaways. It was wonderful spending these events with many of the families that make up our school community. Fun was had by all! A special thanks to the teachers and staff involved in planning and facilitating these enjoyable events.
Due to the current weather forecast, and the previously scheduled single session, all Kearny School District schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 28. All after school and evening activities will also be canceled. Schools will reopen on Wednesday, March 1.
