Grade 3 students from Sydney Pace's class at Garfield School participated in a lesson on the water cycle presented by the Veolia Company. Veolia visited all third grade classrooms in the district, providing students with an engaging activity about the water cycle.

Franklin schoolās Preschool Disabled and Multiple Disabled classes had a wonderful time at our 3rd Annual Spring Activities Day! š·š°
Students enjoyed a variety of fun and engaging activities including Pin the Tail on the Bunny, Bunny Ear Ring Toss, Spring Crafts, a Spring Sensory Table, and Bean Bag Toss. The excitement continued as the festivities wrapped up with an Easter egg hunt and a special visit from the Easter Bunny! š£š„
Students enjoyed a variety of fun and engaging activities including Pin the Tail on the Bunny, Bunny Ear Ring Toss, Spring Crafts, a Spring Sensory Table, and Bean Bag Toss. Franklin School recently had a wonderful opportunity to visit KHS and spend time with some very special guests: baby chicks! š„
They were able to observe the chicks up close, gently touch them, and even had the chance hold them. M any students stepped outside of their comfort zones and engaged with curiosity and excitement. To make the day even more memorable, each student was able to bring home their own stuffed chick as a keepsake! We are so grateful to the Success Program for inviting us and creating such a fun, interactive, and inclusive experience for our students. Opportunities like this help build confidence, encourage exploration, and create lasting memories.

Garfield School: Did you know March is Music in Our Schools Month? This week in music class, Kindergartners used classroom instruments to tell the story āWeāre Going on a Bear Hunt.ā They chose which instruments fit best with each part of the story, then practiced resting position, taking turns, and playing technique for our unpitched percussion instruments!

Ms. Kleinās MD class took their learning into the community today with a trip to ShopRite of Kearny! š
Students worked hard on important life skills by following a shopping list, locating items throughout the store, and practicing appropriate walking in a public setting. They also did a wonderful job waiting patiently in line and even scanning their own groceries at checkout!
We are so proud of their independence, teamwork, and growth. Experiences like these help build confidence and real-world skills that will last a lifetime. Way to go, everyone! šš
