The Kearny School District honors the rich tapestry of history, resilience, and cultural diversity that has shaped our world, through celebrations of Columbus Day and Indigenous People's Day. 🗺️🌍 🌟 Columbus Day reminds us of the explorer's voyage to the Americas in 1492, which forever changed the course of history. It's a moment to reflect on the spirit of exploration and the interconnectedness of our global community. 🌐🚢 🌾 At the same time, we acknowledge Indigenous People's Day, a day to celebrate and respect the vibrant cultures, traditions, and contributions of the Indigenous peoples who have lived on this land for millennia. Their wisdom, stewardship of the Earth, and enduring strength inspire us all. 🌿🌄
