Mrs. Macedo's Sophomore British Literature students are currently analyzing characters from the Canterbury Tales. Focusing on an Chaucer's use of satire, verbal irony, and physiognomy, students will present their character analysis to the class.









Move over, pumpkin spice, it's soup season and Chef Barone's Culinary Arts students are keeping Kearny High well fed with their annual Soup Challenge. Given a budget and a list of ingredients, students were tasked with creating an original and tasty soup recipe. Trust us, these soups did not disappoint, and the competition is fierce! Congratulations to all our kids on a job well done, and we will keep you posted with our winners!

Families gathered at Garfield School for the first Title I ASI Parent Involvement night. All families participated in hands-on activities that were centered around the theme "Colors of the Season". Everyone was even able to make a delicious fall themed snack to eat. Thank you to Ms. Seeley, Mrs. Peso, Ms. Lourenco, Ms. Lombardi, and Ms. Gomez for their collaboration and efforts in making the event a success!

Congrats to the KHS Marching Band on placing 3rd out of 8 in Group 1A with a score of 85.200 in the Rose Band Championship at West Essex HS. They also won a special award for the best color guard!
