On Wednesday February 28th, KHS Broadcasting was visited by Ms. Alexis Noriega, Associate Producer at Forbes! Ms. Noriega spoke about her experience working in video production as a Producer and Editor and showed students examples of content her team has produced with an outreach of millions of viewers. She also provided students with career advice in the media industry. Thank you so much for visiting Ms. Noriega!

On Friday, Roosevelt's PreK fashionistas donned their finest ensembles and strutted their stuff down the red and black catwalk at their Fashion Show, culminated their exciting clothing study.

The Kearny High School Multicultural Committee hosted its first Portuguese Cultural celebration on February 17, in the Kearny High School auditorium. The event featured traditional folklore dancing, or rancho folclĆ³rico, by Sonhos de Portugal, which is housed in the Portuguese Cultural Association of Kearny. Amongst the dancers were students of Kearny schools, such as Vanessa Costa, Alexandra Oliveira, Adriano and Melissa Mota, and Tiago and Cristiano Esteves. Attendees were indulged in Portuguese cuisine with a mix of rissois while enjoying the cultural and historical presentations and student-painted azulejos.
At Roosevelt, Ms. Castro's Kindergarten students celebrate the completion of their i-Ready unit with games and a dress down day!

Multilingual Learners and their families recently came together to participate in our Title III Family Paint Day Event. Our students painted a beautiful masterpiece for a loved one for Valentineās Day.
