On Friday April 19, KHS students visited the Pequest Trout Hatchery in Oxford, NJ. Students toured the facility, learned about the rainbow trout that are raised on site and then stocked in public waters across the state. In addition to a tour of the facility, raceways (concrete holding tanks) and nursery, students learned how to cast and fish on site at the hatcheryās educational pond. Students learned about fishing, forestry and natural resources and it was an educational and recreational fun day! @NJDOE #ClimateChangeEducation #ClimateEd #ActionforEarthNJ
