KHS students in our accounting and business classes attended a two day workshop at Deloitte, one of the big four accounting firms, in Morristown. Students participated in hands-on workshops where they learned about Deloitte, opportunities that exist in the field of accounting, personal finance topics and college and career readiness. Students also toured their office space and had a question and answer session with a panel of 5 Deloitte employees. Two of the Deloitte employees were 1998 graduates of Kearny High School: Erin Abreau, partner, and Michelle Silva, audit partner, who both took our college prep accounting class while they were in KHS. Students enjoyed their time learning about opportunities that exist within accounting and hearing from these professionals.
