
NJTESOL, the State-wide organization for ESL educators and professionals, recently recognized Diego Miranda Taday at their annual conference. Diego, Roosevelt School 4th grader, won their essay writing challenge and was awarded an iPad for his efforts. A very special thank you to Ms. Pereira-Oliveira, Diego's ESL teacher, who encouraged and supported him through the application process. Congratulations, Diego!!



4th graders in Miss Macri's class at Roosevelt School delved into the exciting world of pill bugs by hosting a Pill Bug Olympics, in which the bugs engaged in feats of endurance for their curious onlookers. 🪲🏆









🌍🎨 Congratulations to Sofia Silva Gauilanes, a Roosevelt 6th grader, on earning Honorable Mention in the Hudson County Improvement Authority’s 2025 Earth Day Art Contest!
Her artwork, inspired by this year’s theme “Clean Streets, Clean Waters,” was celebrated at the awards ceremony and is on display at Liberty Science Center through May. 🌊🧼🖌️
