KHS: Kearny High School extends its heartfelt gratitude to the following members of our school community for making the Homecoming Bonfire an unforgettable event: parents, students, sports teams, coaches, advisors, the band, cheerleaders from various schools, color guards, and the Kearny Generals. We also want to express our appreciation to the town of Kearny, the Mayor, the Kearny Fire Department, the Kearny Police Department, and all emergency personnel. Thank you to Moran’s Towing and Cali Carting. The Bonfire at Veterans Field brought everyone together for a fantastic time, fostering support for our teams, cheerleaders, the band, and all the schools within our district. A special shout-out goes to Peter's Pizzeria and Ninos for their invaluable assistance in providing food for the event. Thank you!

KHS: Mrs. Incorvia's Unified PE students embarked on a journey that transcended the classroom, bringing them closer as a school community. The class created a digital picture board, extending a heartfelt welcome into the images of their lives. In this lesson, the students learned that diversity is not just a buzzword, but rather a celebration of the unique stories and experiences that each of us brings to the table. The digital picture board serves as a mirror reflecting the talents, passions, and dreams that define us as individuals yet bind us as a collective group. This shared glimpse into the students' lives discovered the power of acceptance and the beauty in embracing our differences.

KHS: In today’s lesson, we embarked on a journey that transcended the classroom and brought us closer as a school community. Through the digital picture board we've carefully crafted, we extend a heartfelt welcome into the images of our lives. In this lesson, we've learned that diversity is not just a buzzword but rather a celebration of the unique stories and experiences that each of us brings to the table. Our digital picture board serves as a mirror reflecting the talents, passions, and dreams that define us as individuals yet bind us as a collective group. Through this shared glimpse into our lives, we've discovered the power of acceptance and the beauty in embracing our differences. This lesson has taught us that true connections are made when we open our hearts to understanding and celebrate the richness that stems from our varied backgrounds and perspectives. As we embark on this educational year together, we will remember the lessons learned in this assignment: that community is built on authenticity, and that true learning extends beyond textbooks and lectures. We are a class that is bound not only by curriculum but by the genuine connections we make with one another. With open hearts and eager minds, we will continue to stride forward into this academic year, ready to learn, grow, and uplift one another. Great Job Mrs. Incorvaia

KHS: Edgar Siguenza Zambrano got his first official JV goal! The whole team, coach Gray, and coach Fisher were all up cheering and so excited. The team has been working hard to create and set up a time where they could help him get a goal and it finally happened. Each of them were just as thrilled as Edgar. Edgar got the last goal of the game and they won 10-0. And super shout out to Coach Gray for fostering such a great team environment. These boys are all talented, doing great and learning a lot more than just soccer. More good things happening in Kearny!

KHS: Girls Freshman Volleyball Team The Freshman Girls Volleyball season has flown by, but it has been quite a season. The season was off to a slow start taking several losses. However, those losses only taught the team what skills they needed to improve on. The girls have been 100% dedicated and through their hard work have turned the season around winning the last 3 games. They were able to show off their skills during an intense game vs. Irvington on Thursday. The girls are hoping to continue their winning streak when they face Union on Tuesday! https://youtu.be/uM6uZ4WqoCE

KHS: At KHS, Miss Hoehe’s 2nd period US History I/SUCCESS class studied famous Hispanics for Hispanic Heritage Month. As a reward for working hard all week, students used their life and social skills to walk to Domingo’s, a Hispanic owned bakery, ordered a treat, and cleaned up after themselves all in a timely manner. Students got to recognize and honor the hard working Hispanics in their hometown, the US and the world.
