🚢 As part of our transportation unit, Kindergarten KEEP students at Garfield School designed and tested boats that float — and one brilliant builder made a boat that held 30 marbles without sinking! 🎉 Students explored problem-solving, creativity, and basic physics while having so much fun.

Garfield School first graders visit the library to read "Don't Blow Your Top" — a sweet lesson on managing big emotions — then turned those feelings into colorful volcano art. Loud eruptions, quiet breaths, and lots of proud smiles

Roar-some day in KEEP at Garfield School! 🦖 First-grade students created their own dinosaur fossils — digging, molding, and examining prints while learning about paleontology and Earth’s ancient past. These hands-on activities spark curiosity and build scientific thinking. 🌍✨

🎒✨ Garfield School fifth graders visited the Yogi Berra Museum for the “Overwhelming Underdogs” program — a day all about building character through fun! Students enjoyed an engaging presentation, museum tour, obstacle course, scavenger hunt, pitching game, trivia, and even baseball cards. ⚾️

From creative storytelling to expressive movement, students showcased confidence, teamwork, and a whole lot of talent. 🌟Bravo to our performers for bringing energy, imagination, and a little bit of Broadway magic to the classroom! 👏🎤

Garfield School: Mrs. Lonnay's 6th-grade social studies students wrapped up their unit on Ancient Greece with a creative culminating project! After learning about Greek history and mythology, students designed and created their own masks inspired by the stories and characters they studied. A fun and artistic way to bring ancient civilizations to life!
