The students enrolled in the Hudson County Community College Program took part in a nature hike at the Morristown National Historical Park in Jockey Hollow. On the 5 mile hike they were able to examine recreated soldier huts from George Washington's encampment, read information from historical markers and interact with members of the National Park Service.
Following the hike, the students were bused to the Washington Headquarters Museum in Morristown where they were able to view historical artifacts from the period, watch interactive videos, and read historical information related to the period. The trip was chaperoned by teachers Michael Bayer, Trish Hoehe, and counselor Dorian Fasciano.
