During the month of November, we discussed Thanksgiving traditions each us had during this Holiday. We worked on budgets for our Feast and even cut coupons. The students had a blast. Today was the payoff for their hard work. Thank you to Mr. Fernandez, The Spanish Pavillion for donating the food to our students!!

On Friday, November 17th, members of the KHS Student Government Association attended Kean University's Diversity Council's High School Leadership Conference. While there, students were able to hear from keynote speaker, Jamar Root, about his experiences and were educated on how to discover their passion and find success. Students also were able to network with other individuals from schools all over New Jersey and work together to create action plans regarding current school issues. Several members of the SGA got up in front of a plethora of other students to ask questions and share their strategies for achieving their specific goals in relation to obstacles students face on a day-to-day basis.

Today, twenty-nine Kearny High School students and a few school counselors traveled to Montclair State University to attend the National Career Council College Fair. Sixty-five regional colleges were represented and students had the opportunity to speak with admissions representatives and collect valuable information on each school. The event was well organized and informative.
Thank you to the Counseling Department to consistently showcasing these opportunities to our students!
