KHS: Universal Technical Institute Presentation On October 29, Kearny High School Auto Shop classes welcomed UTI to present to their students. The presentation took place on the football field. Students were presented with a modified 2001 Ford Mustang with 500 horsepower and nitrous oxide. The loud exhaust system could be heard from blocks away. The presentation was to excite the students of all the possibilities in the automotive field. Welding career opportunities were also presented to the students. The classes had a chance to practice their welding skills by using a VR simulator. The presentation brought a lot of excitement to the current automotive students and built a lot of interest with all other students.

Mrs. Larossa's accounting students participated in Deloitte's MADE program. Deloitte is one of the top four accounting firms in the world, and Kearny High School was invited to participate in this program to learn about careers in accounting. This was the first of six workshops in the series. The students visited the Deloitte offices in Morristown, participated in a workshop and also had the opportunity to tour their office, ask questions, and interact with Deloitte professionals.

KHS: KHS hosted the Title III Family Field Day Event, open to all the District’s ESL/Bilingual families. We had a record number of KHS student volunteers who came out early on a Saturday morning to help facilitate the event. The weather was beautiful and the families had lots of fun. We couldn’t have done it without our KHS volunteers. They were amazing!!!
