The students arrived early in the morning for set-up and were ready to give their assistance with various vendor tables. They greeted the visitors as they arrived. They performed blood pressure measurements and kept some of the children occupied as they arrived to get their vaccines. It was a great learning experience for them. KHS Marching Band Some great news!! Congratulations to Mr. Caravella, Mr.Conde, Mr. Pamaar, Ms. Chen, Mr Diaz and the students of the KHS Marching Band! The KHS Band became the Regional Champions at the Tournament of Bands Competition. What a dedicated group….their hard work and dedication definitely paid off!! The KHS Marching Band placed 1st in their division, 1st in Visual and 1st in Music! They swept it! The last time this award was bestowed upon the KHS Marching Band in the TOB, was in 1985. Unbelievable day for the staff, students and parents! The band parents were out in full force with pom-poms, painted faces, and a banner. It was an exhilarating day! Big shout out to Mr. Fearon for transporting the instruments and to Chirazo for transporting our students. WOW!!!! Regional Champs!

KHS: The Army has completed their fall events here at KHS and will be joining us in the spring too. We had some great presentations with our junior and senior students. Several representatives shared with them what the Army can offer for future opportunities. Last week the Army joined us again for our annual fall field day, which included a variety of activities such as football throwing, soccer shootout, varying fitness challenges, boxing station, weight lifting challenge and a variety of giveaways for all these challenges. The students were engaged and are looking forward to the Army's visit in the spring.
