KHS First Annual Career Fair Day
On Wednesday, April 2nd, KHS will host its first Career Fair Day. The event will take place during students' gym periods and will feature over 40 professionals representing a diverse range of career fields. This is a valuable opportunity for students to explore potential career paths and gain insights into various industries. We encourage you to remind your child to actively engage with the participants and gather information to help inform their future career decisions.
KHS:
What a wonderful Vocal Extravaganza at Kearny High School ! Special thanks to Yulema Bernal, Scott Burzynski, Milly Gonzalez, Amy Connelly, and Owen Seaver for making this happen!
It was an amazing opportunity for each school to perform on the stage, with a supportive audience cheering on every group. Mr. Seaver led the students in a warm-up he uses with his own students at LMS and Ms. Gonzalez’s students at KHS, setting the tone for a fantastic showcase. Each school performed one or two pieces, highlighting the incredible vocal talent within our community.
A special highlight of the event was the use of Kearny High School’s historic Skinner organ. Mr. Burzynski accompanied the entire group on this magnificent instrument as the students sang a round together, creating a truly awe-inspiring moment.
We also extend our gratitude to the administrators for their support of this musical endeavor, Bobby Elsmore and his team for transportation, the chaperones for their time, and security for assisting with escorting the students in and out of KHS. This event was a true celebration of music, collaboration, and the power of the arts!
Thank you,
Kathleen Astrella

In honor of the Kearny School District Elementary Wellness Week, we encourage all of our community members to take a moment for mindfulness:
Did you know? Drinking water can improve your focus and energy! 💧 Make it fun by:
✅ Setting a water reminder on your phone.
✅ Adding fresh fruit for a flavor boost! 🍓🍋
✅ Keeping a bottle at your desk and taking small sips throughout the day.

In celebration of the Kearny School District Elementary School Wellness Week, we encourage our community to take a break for mindfulness:
Pause. Breathe. Reset. 🌿 Take 2 minutes for a mindfulness break today:
1️⃣ Close your eyes and take a deep inhale through your nose.
2️⃣ Hold for 3 seconds.
3️⃣ Exhale slowly through your mouth.
4️⃣ Repeat 5 times.
Feeling calmer already? Try this before a test or meeting! 🧘♀️ #MindfulMoments #WellnessWeek
