On May 28, Mr. Cacciottolo rewarded the commitment and the effort of his students in the Italian Club all year with a trip to Manhattan. The school bus dropped us near the High Line, at 23rd Street, and we leisurely walked on the High Line until its southern end. Then we entered the Chelsea Market where students enjoyed some shopping but also some late coffee and donuts. We finally went to EATALY, a large indoor shopping and eating area offering high-end Italian products. We had already agreed on an Italian lunch at one of their restaurants for 12pm. We enjoyed a very delicious lunch of pasta and pizza. Everyone was hungry and loved the quality of the food. Before getting back on the bus almost everyone had a gelato, something not to be missed at EATALY. The other two chaperones on the trip were Mrs. Fernandez and Mrs. Mead.

On Tuesday, June 3rd, Mrs. Fasciano’s Juniors in the KHS Early College Academy visited the Hudson County Community College campus in Jersey City for their official orientation. The students listened to presentations from HCCC staff who notified them of a variety of services available to them on campus, received their college ID’s and took a tour of the buildings where they will attend classes come the Fall. We’re so excited for them to embark upon the final leg of this journey toward their Associate’s degree being completed next Spring!
