Franklin School: To prepare for state testing, Mrs. Janz and Mrs. Onnembo sent home top secret letters to their families. Their loved ones wrote an encouraging message and the students were able to read them before they started their test, giving them a boost of confidence to start their day!

The ESL Honor Society recently inducted 13 new members and presented 8 graduating seniors with their honor cords. We are incredibly proud of the notable academic achievements and leadership demonstrated by these outstanding students!








Franklin School: Franklin’s Pre-K Garden was full of excitement for the grand opening of Tiny Green Thumbs! All the Pre-K classes came together to celebrate their seed study. Each child placed their special plaque into their own planter box. Everyone is so happy and excited to start growing their very own seeds!

Franklin School: Mrs. McShane’s and Mrs. Connolly’s Junior Peers partnered with the 4th Grade for an Egg Hunt to prepare for the upcoming NJSLA exam. Students solved various math problems hidden inside plastic eggs placed around our turf. What an “eggcellent” way to get ready for our state test!
Franklin School: The Franklin School Student Council and Ms. DeMatos's 4th grade had a blast on their annual Library Trip! Students delved into the rich culture and history of Kearny, made even more special by a tour led by former Franklin School teacher, Barbara Toczko. A big thank you to the Kearny Public Library for this memorable and educational experience!

The Franklin ABA & PSD classes began their 2nd Annual Spring Activities Day with a classroom visit by the Easter Bunny. The students then participated in several fine motor and gross motor activities with the assistance of the Peer Leaders. They also had the opportunity to work on vocabulary words (e.g., "look," "throw," "match," etc.) using picture symbols. They ended the day with a fun Easter egg hunt!
