7 Graduates standing shoulder to shoulder each holding a flower.

These 2022 KHS Graduates just completed the YTTW (Youth Transitions To Work) Program.  It is a free scholarship program offered to medical students each year.  Seniors need to apply and if accepted they will be given free training and a free college semester at Essex County College along with career opportunities at various health centers in N.J.  Four of our students will begin employment at Clara Maass Medical Center and the other three students are working at Inglemoor Nursing/Extended Care Facility.  Some have become Certified Nursing Assistants and some have become Certified Physical Therapy Aides. The ceremony was held on December 6th at the District 1199J Healthcare Union building’s Pavillion Room in Newark.  The guest speaker was David Spector, a government representative from the NJ Office of Apprenticeship & Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
