Program Overview
Mathematics at Kearny High School is more than a sequence of courses; it is a journey of discovery, logic, and application. While core classes follow a purposeful progression to build strong foundations, students are also invited to explore a rich variety of non-sequential courses that reveal how mathematics shapes the world around us. Those with exceptional ability may advance through honors or accelerated pathways, while others can pursue courses that align with their individual strengths and goals. With a curriculum that blends rigor, relevance and choice, the Mathematics Department empowers every student to meet graduation requirements while developing the skills, curiosity, and confidence to thrive in any field.
