Computers are everywhere, changing every industry on the planet. However, fewer than half of all schools teach computer science. Good news is we are on our way to change this. If you have heard about the Hour of Code™ before, you might know it made history. More than 100 million students have tried an Hour of Code™.

The Hour of Code™ is a nationwide initiative by Computer Science Education Week [csedweek.org] and Code.org [code.org] to introduce millions of students to one hour of computer science and computer programming.

With the Hour of Code, computer science has been on the homepages of Google, MSN, Yahoo! and Disney. Over 100 partners have joined to support this movement. Every Apple Store in the world has hosted an Hour of Code. Now it’s your turn to get involved!

If you wish to get involved with an Hour of Code event during Computer Science Education Week, (December 5th to Decemer 11th), please visit: www.hourofcode.com/us/learn Lastly, please share a screenshot of the certificate you receive at the end of your activity or send us a selfie of you and your completed Hour of Code™ event. Your pictures can be emailed to jtorre@kearnyschools.com!
