As a reward for winning the school-wide March Mathness IReady Contest, the students in Mrs. Janz and Mrs. Kuiper's class earned a picnic and special recess. The students participated in jump rope, bouncy balls, giant tennis, chalk, three-legged races, and used binoculars to explore outside!

In this lesson, students compared multiple solutions for preventing erosion through engineering. They designed and tested ways to keep water from washing away a hill modeled out of cornmeal.
