Kearny School District Update - May 21, 2020

  • On Monday evening, the Kearny Board of Education revised the school calendar to allow our remaining 2 snow days to be used on Thursday and Friday, June 18 & 19, 2020. Therefore, the last day of distance learning will be Wednesday June 17, 2020. The marking period will close on June 12th to allow for grades to be finalized. The portal will open for senior classes on June 10th, and for all others on June 12th. The portal will close at noon on June 17th.

All schools will be closed in observance of MEMORIAL DAY, on Monday, May 25th, and distance learning (and food distribution) will continue on Tuesday, May 26th.

Thank you for all you do and continue to do for our students and their families. We continue to learn of students and families who are struggling with COVID-19 and the many issues related to unemployment, poverty, and language barriers. It is impossible for us to know what struggles some of our families are facing. Please keep this in mind as we close out the school year. We are down to our last 20 days - let's make them as meaningful as possible for all of our students.
