• Message from the Superintendent

  • It is hard to believe that we have already completed the first month of the 2021-2022 school year, and despite a few bumps in the road, it has been a great beginning.  There is nothing more positive than seeing our students thrive in their school environment, and during several trips to our district schools this month, I have wittnessed just how engaged our students are in the learning process.  Today marked our final day of the Start Strong Assessment which was administered to all students in grades 4 through 12 in English and Math, with additional tests in grades 6, 9 and 12 in various areas of science.  The data gleaned from these assessments will help to chart a course for individual student learning goals throughout the school year.

Although our students have experienced some difficult times during the past 18 months, students in pre-K through grade 12, are now experiencing all that our district has to offer.  In the coming months you will be receiving information regarding various program offerings in our schools.  It is our hope that you will explore these opportunities and encourage your children to participate.

Finally, our administrators, supervisors, and faculty are grateful for the support of our school families.  We have traveled together through a global pandemic, and despite the many obstacles we have faced, I do believe we will emerge stronger than ever.  My sincerest thanks to all of you for your cooperation and understanding during these times of quarantine, social distancing, and isolation.  Together we can accomplish so much more than we can when we’re alone.

Here’s to a great school year; stay safe and be well!
