KEARNY SCHOOL DISTRICT - INDEPENDENT WATER TESTING RESULTS
Tectonic Engineering & Surveying Consultants P.C. has completed the pilot sampling and analysis of potable water collected from multiple Point of Use (POU) points at a total of seven (7) Kearny Schools. The sampling was performed to verify the quality of drinking water provided to Kearny Schools, specifically the levels of lead. This initial pilot test was implemented as a recommended progressive approach in conjunction with public communication.
Sampling and analysis of drinking water points of use (POUs) for lead was performed by Kearny Board of Education (KBOE) all district public schools in response to public concerns.
Based on the testing results, the levels of lead found in the water taken from all sample points did not exceed appropriate limits. The reported lead concentrations were compared to both the public water service AL and the schools-recommended CL value.
Lead was not detected above the recommended AL of 15 PPB or the CL of 20 PPB in
Any of the fourteen (14) POUs from a total of seven (7) different facilities
