The Center for Pre-College Programs (CPCP) at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) will be offering a SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) Preparation Program in 2016 for all current 9th, 10th and 11th grade students. CPCP was established in 1980 by NJIT’s Board of Overseers, with the mission to provide all students with equal access to high quality science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education.
The SAT Preparation Program will be taught by certified instructors who will reinforce knowledge already taught in school, and will introduce students to new concepts while providing valuable instruction and review in each SAT content area. The classes will cover grammar, writing, vocabulary, critical reading, mathematical skills, and the best methods to approach questions in all SAT areas. This comprehensive approach ensures that students not only learn strategies to answer every exam question but also focus on specific areas that need improvement. The SAT Preparation Program utilizes an intensive non-traditional methodology, techniques and strategies that will help students become “smarter test-takers.”
