Kearny Education Foundation, Inc., Helps Students to REST

 

Camille Burns, a teacher in the Kearny School District and a member of the Kearny Education Foundation, Inc, presented a check from the Foundation in the amount of $1,000 to James Diguglielmo, Principal of Roosevelt School at their Back to School Night,  to help fund a trip for students to get some REST.  REST, the Roosevelt School Environmental Science Technology endeavor, is a field trip where students spend a few days learning about ecology and the environment.

 

The Kearny Education Foundation, Inc. awards grants and funding to the various schools in Kearny for many education activities including professional development, the purchasing of equipment and supplies, field trips for the students and for the purchase of technology to enrich instruction and learning.

 

Teachers and programs in Kearny High School, Schuyler School and now Roosevelt School recently received awards from the Foundation.
