Dear Parent/Guardian of Kearny High School Incoming Freshmen:

Good News! The School Based Youth Services Program @ Kearny High School can help introduce your son/daughter to their high school through our summer activities.

The Summer Program (all free of cost) will run from July 11th through August 2nd, offering your child an opportunity to:

Please note that many of the activities are on a first come-first serve basis and space is limited, so it is important for your son-daughter to sign up as soon as possible.

Through the above activities, your child will meet School Based Youth Services Program staff and broaden their connections with other freshman, as SBYSP will be working with all of Kearny’s sending schools.

In addition, the Teen Center recreation will also be open this summer where students can play pool, foosball, air hockey, basketball, and board games Monday through Thursday

10 a.m.  - 1 p.m. for Incoming Freshman.

Enclosed is our parent permission form for you to sign and return to School Based Youth Services Program @ KHS as soon as possible so that services will be available to your son/daughter for our summer program and for all four years at Kearny High School.

Please encourage your freshmen daughter/son to take advantage of our summer SBYS program and SBYSP for the 2005-2006 school year.  If you have any questions, please call 201-955-5144.

Very truly yours,

Jeannie MacConchie, M.A., L.P.C.
