On September 20, 2006, Ms. Kathleen Hoffmann sent a letter and a check for $1000.00 to Mr. Mooney as a donation to the Art Department of the Kearny School system. Ms. Hoffmann spent the first five years of her life in Kearny and then moved away. She eventually fell in love with art and put herself through art school. 

She used her skills in art to enter the world of advertising where she went on to become a successful business woman. She would like to share this success and love of art with the Kearny Schools art department, starting with this donation and in the future by setting up scholarships in the areas of art and music.
