SCHOOL DENTIST
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Valid Dental License to practice in the State of New Jersey .
2. Experience in the delivery of dental services.
3. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. Citizenship or
legal resident alien status.
REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Schools and/or Vice Principal in charge of
Athletics
JOB GOAL: To ensure the dental health of students through dental screenings and the Kearny High School Dental Clinic, thereby enhancing the
overall health and well being of students in the district.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide assistance, attention and/or consultation to any dental emergency in the
school.
2. Provide services at a Dental Clinic for selected students.
3. Assist in the training of the Dental Assisting students in the theoretical, clinical
and laboratory phases of the curriculum weekly.
4. Provides a dental screening to grades 1, 3, 5, 7 and Special Education in the
Kearny Public Schools.
